ACT ONE

A Chicago native, Mary Beth got the acting bug at an early age.  Her role as Winnie the Pooh in a Chicago Park District production sealed the deal for her and she never looked back.  She attended  St. Scholastica Academy in Chicago and participated in the theater department there.  On a talent scholarship to Northeastern Illinois University she went on to get her B.A. in Speech and Performing Arts.  During this time she dipped her toe in the local improv scene securing a spot on a team at I.O. (Improv Olympic) in Chicago.

ACT TWO

After earning her Montessori certification from MMTTC, Mary Beth began taking classes at The Second City in Chicago, Illinois and landed a spot in the national touring company.  She also was a founding member of The Second City Outreach program which eventually became known as GayCo, the first LGBT sketch comedy company in the country.  In 2004 Mary Beth donned the habit and began traveling the country as "Sister" in the award winning one woman show, Late Nite Catechism.
